Staff¶
/{slug}/radmin/staff — employee accounts. Requires the “Staff” permission; in
practice the owner uses it.
Opening an account¶
- Press New staff member.
- Enter name, e-mail, a temporary password and a role.
- Save and hand the details to the employee.
- They sign in at
/adminand change their password under My account.
The e-mail address is the sign-in identity; every employee needs their own. With a shared address, “who did this” loses its meaning.
Roles¶
Roles selectable in restaurant businesses: owner, owner assistant, waiter, kitchen (plus manager, cashier, host and chef, which the panel lists).
Outside restaurants there are only owner and owner assistant.
Accounts opened as manager / cashier / host / chef cannot sign in
These roles show in the list, but access control currently recognises only owner, owner assistant, waiter and kitchen. Give working staff one of those four.
Active / inactive¶
Deactivate rather than delete when someone leaves or goes on holiday. An inactive account cannot sign in, but the name is kept in past records. Deleting also makes their trail harder to follow; do not delete unless you really must.
Permissions¶
The role alone is not enough; which role opens which page is decided by the permission matrix on the Settings → Permissions screen. Check a new employee's role permissions once after adding them.
A new page has been added to the matrix: Reservations. It is on by default for the Cashier and Host roles and off for Waiter. The owner can change this at any time.
See Users and roles
Password reset¶
If an employee forgets their password, the owner issues a new temporary one. If the owner forgets theirs, the Resto4 team resets it.
Performance tracking¶
Who closed how many tables and for how much lives under Accounting → Staff. Use those figures for bonuses or shift planning.
