Stock

/{slug}/radmin/stock — inventory tracking. Three tabs: items, categories, movement history. It appears in restaurant businesses.

Items

Per stock item: name, category, unit (piece / kilo / litre), current quantity and critical level.

The critical level is the “warn me when it drops below this” threshold. Items below it appear in the warning bar at the top of the page and in the panel's notification bell.

Filters: by unit, and a “critical only” view. The critical filter is your shopping list when placing the morning order.

Categories

For grouping items: meat, vegetables, drinks, cleaning… Keep the number of categories small; a category per item makes the list unreadable.

Movement history

Shows when, by how much and why a quantity changed: goods received, sales-driven decrease, stocktake correction. This is where to look when a count does not add up.

If you link menu products to stock items, stock decreases by itself as you sell. The link is made from the Menu page.

Sales of unlinked products do not affect stock; in that case stock is only as accurate as what you enter by hand.

Bulk import (CSV)

You can import the stock list from a file:

  1. Open the import section and upload the file.
  2. Check the column mapping and a few rows in the preview.
  3. Confirm.

Importing changes existing quantities

If the quantity column in the file is filled in, the item's current quantity is set to that value. If you only want to add new items, try a small file first.

Critical stock notification

You can enable the critical stock e-mail from the Owner settings page; items dropping below the threshold trigger a message. For the e-mail to be sent the business SMTP settings must be configured — see Mail.

Common questions

Stock shows a negative number. Sales are linked but goods received were never entered. Record the delivery; the movement history shows the gap.

A product was sold but stock did not decrease. The menu product is not linked to a stock item.

The critical warning never goes away. The threshold is unrealistic. Set it to a day or two of normal consumption.
