Service¶
/{slug}/radmin/servis — the table board. The current state of the room on one
screen: which table is occupied, which is waiting, which has asked for the bill.
It only appears in restaurant businesses.
The table board¶
Each table is a box whose colour tells you its state:
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Empty | No open order |
| New order | An order awaits approval |
| Preparing | In the kitchen |
| Ready | Ready to serve |
| Waiter call | The guest called a waiter; table turns orange |
| Bill request | The guest asked for the bill |
Filters: all / active / empty. Sort by longest wait brings the forgotten table to the front during a rush.
Table detail¶
Tapping a table opens a side panel: order lines, who added them, item notes and the total.
From there you can:
- Add items — to the open order, or open a new order on the table.
- Table note — “birthday”, “has an allergy”; it stays with the team.
- Advance the status — approve and mark served.
- Mark the table checked — tells the team the table has been seen to.
- On my way — resolves a waiter call; the orange colour clears and other waiters no longer see the call.
- Print the ticket — sends the bill to the print station.
Closing the bill¶
There are three ways:
- Paid — cash / Paid — card
- Mark it after collecting the money. The table closes and the amount is written to accounting as revenue.
- Close without payment
- For a comp, a cancellation or a table opened by mistake. Not counted as revenue.
The right button keeps accounting right
The cash/card split is the only source for the end-of-day till reconciliation. Always hitting the same button out of habit corrupts the breakdown in accounting.
Splitting the bill¶
On a large table you can split the bill between people:
- Open split the bill in the table detail.
- Create a portion per person.
- Assign items to people; a wrong assignment can be undone.
- Mark the portion of whoever pays as paid.
- When everyone has paid, finalise the bill; the table closes.
If you cancel the split halfway through, the table goes back to a single bill and no items are lost.
Overdue warnings¶
Tables that have been open for a long time raise a warning on the screen. A table nobody remembered to close makes both the day's revenue and the occupancy picture wrong.
Difference from the service panel¶
The plain service panel at /{slug}/waiter shows the same table board but has
no bill splitting, payment marking or ticket printing. The plain panel suits
a waiter walking around with a phone; this page suits the tablet at the till.
